  • News: The Rangers signed catcher Sandy Alomar Jr., who had been with the White Sox, to a one-year, $550,000 deal.

    View: Alomar will share duties with Rod Barajas while Gerard Laird starts the season at Triple-A Oklahoma. Laird is better than either catcher, but concerns remain about his injured thumb.

    Wow... why did they sign him? 2 bad catchers dont equal a decent one.
