Javy Lopez (C), BAL

- Injury
by Carlos Parodi - Tue May 24
  • News: Lopez broke a bone in his right hand after being hit with a foul tip off the bat of Bret Boone in Tuesday's contest versus the Seattle Mariners. He immediately left the game and is headed to the DL.

Views: Tough break (no pun intended) for Lopez oweners -- going into Tuesday's action, he was hitting a solid .273/7/22. Hand injuries can often be a chronic nuisance; once he returns, expect his short-term production to take a hit. For now, find a replacement while Lopez mends for 4-6 weeks.

I can't take this anymore. This is going to be my 6th player to have played for my team to hit the DL... the 9th overall to miss time to injury. And that's not to mention that the healthy ones are all mired in slumps. ARGH.

    Hey kickbukt,

I feel your pain. My fantasy league has only 2 DL spots which is usually ok but this year I wish I had 5 or 6. I have 3 SP's down, 1 RP out, and now 2 fielders gone. But wait, thats only 6 I would have more if I didnt already drop them or trade them off to some optimistic fool. 2005 = Year of Injuries
