B.J. Ryan (RP), BAL/TOR - Rumor
November 26, 2005
News: The Toronto Sun is reporting Ryan has agreed to terms with the Blue Jays on a 5 year, $47M contract. Toronto GM J.P. Ricciardi has yet to confirm the rumor, but an official announcement if expected once the deal is legally binding.
Views: Fantasy-wise, more of a lateral move than a marked improvement. If anything, he'll get 5-10 more save opps with an improved offense and 'closer-friendly' manager (eg, 8th-inning appearances and only brought in during save situations).
exactly what I was thinking...is FIC Bot a username that all mods know the password for so they can all use it?

The reason I am asking is because I have a My Yahoo page. Anyhow, you can customize it with specific content. I use it for weather, TV Guide, my fantasy teams, and a news feed for my industry. Anyhow, one of the news feed options is fantasy sports info. Guess where that info comes from? Thats right, FIC. That's how I was first turned onto the site.
The way it works is authors publish via our publishing system and with a custom script we setup the FIC bot automatically generates a forum thread for each news item.

Matt is an example. He could be back, unless Carlos is updating it.

Yeah, I have a similar setup with my MyYahoo! page. During the season, we typically average a few players updates/day (with about 3 guys pitching in). Offseason, we try targetting major news breaks and rumors.
Yeah I knew that, but I was just curious who did it. I now know Carlos posted the content, but I didnt know the name of the person who posted appeared at the bottom.
