Lastings Milledge (OF), NYM - Optioned to Minors

News: Despite having a tremendous spring, Mets super prospect Lastings Milledge was sent to AAA Norfolk today. Milledge hit .347 this spring and put up better stats than both Victor Diaz and Xavier Nady, the two players who are vying for the right field job.
Views: Though he out produced the competition, the Mets wanted Milledge to get a little more experience before he hits the big leagues. Milledge should be up to Shea by the All-Star break. Keep an eye on him as this prospect could bring "David Wright Effect" to New York.
