News: Scott Kazmir has been named the Devil Rays opening day starter and will be considered the number one pitcher in the rotation. Kazmir was awarded the job after finishing the spring with an outing in which he allowed just one run over five innings.

Views: Kazmir has the potential to be a top flight pitcher, but he must overcome his control issues. Kazmir walked four batters in yesterday's outing and has had similar trouble all spring.
