News: According to several reports, Brian Bannister has won a spot in the rotation for the New York Mets. Bannister, one of the teams top pitching prospects, pitched well this spring allowing him to earn the job. Bannister will be the number five man in the rotation.
Views: With a .64 ERA this spring, Bannister impressed management enough to warrant a job with the major league club. The control pitcher won the job over Aaron Heilman, who will now move to the bullpen. Bannister is an intriguing pitcher, who will be someone to watch this season.
