Mark Prior (SP), ChC - DL
March 28, 2006
News: The Cubs' Mark Prior officially went onto the 15-day DL Tuesday with a strained subscapularis muscle in the right shoulder. The muscle is part of the rotator-cuff group of muscles.
Views: Prior resumed throwing on Monday and may be able to return to the Cubs' rotation by the first of May.
With the demotion of Angel Guzman and Jae Kuk Ryu Tuesday, the race to fill Prior's spot got a lot more interesting. In fact, Dusty Baker alluded to the fact that No. 4 starter Jerome Williams' job isn't secure, and he, Sean Marshall and Rich Hill are in a renewed battle for the fourth and fifth spots in the rotation. Williams start on Thursday looms large for his future in the rotation.
Ahahaha...classic
