News: Updating previous reports, Dustin Hermanson was paraphrased in the Chicago Sun-Times as saying that his goal is to come back in the next two months and be ready to be a factor in the second half of the season.
Views: He's staying in extended Spring Training in Arizona, and will be placed on the disabled list to start the season. The possibility is still there that his constant back trouble may force him to retire, which is something he said he'll have to examine after he's exhausted all of his other options. He does not plan on having surgery, as most indications are that he won't return to the diamond if surgery is required.
