Nate McLouth (OF), PIT - Alert: LOW

News: With the unexpected demotion of Jody Gerut today, the Pirates' Nate McLouth has earned a spot on the team's roster, but has not been named the starting CFer.
Views: First off, Gerut earned a lot better fate than being sent to Triple-A -- he hit .349/.440/.419 in 43 AB this spring. Ridiculous.
Anyway, the Pirates still plan on going with Chris Duffy in CF. He is the better defender, but McLouth is the better hitter. There won't be enough AB for both, so one of them will probably end up going back to Triple-A at some point over the next several weeks for more seasoning.
