News: Chicago's Greg Maddux improved to 5-0 for the first time in his career Friday when he allowed two runs over six innings in the Cubs' 6-2 win over Milwaukee.
Views: Maddux allowed eight hits and walked one on 89 pitches. He also struck out six. Maddux had been insane this month, so Friday's performance was closer to the norm. On the year, he's sporting a 1.35 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP.
Bob Howry, Scott Eyre and Scott Williamson each pitched a scoreless inning, as they combined for no hits, one walk and six strikeouts.
