News: Verlander pitched well against the Twins on Saturday, allowing only 6 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 4 and walking two. He picked up his third win of the season in what was his third straight quality start. His ERA now stands at 3.52 and his WHIP is 1.11.
Views: He would have gotten the win even if he had pitched poorly because the Tigers offense put up 11 runs in the first 4 innings. Unfortunately, he will miss pitching in the Royals series by one game, but still could do well against the Angels. Start him unless you have better options.
