Oliver Perez (SP), PIT

News: Sunday was the same ol' song for Pittsburgh's Oliver Perez, who allowed four runs in 3.2 IP in the Pirates' 5-1 to Philadelphia.

Views: Perez allowed six hits and five walks. He also struck out four, but gave up home runs to Pat Burrell and Jimmy Rollins. Perez dropped to 1-4 with a 7.53 ERA and a 2.17 WHIP.

when is this guy gonna regain form? it's a shame because I've drafted him in so many leagues!

Well he never regained it last year, so I don't see why this year would be any different. It seems that 2004 was an aberration and not the norm.

Sure is looking like it. At this point he shouldn't even be on fantasy teams. Cut ties and save yourself the heart ache. Keep an eye on him but it would take 2 very good starts before I'd add him, and even then it would be for matchups.
