Lastings Milledge (OF), NYM

News: Milledge was called up to the big league club to replace Xavier Nady on Tuesday.

Views: Milledge is a legitimate top prospect who was showing tremendous progress in AAA this season, particularly with his plate discipline. After posting a 33:88 walk to strikeout ratio between high A and AA last season, Milledge had improved that to 32:42 this season in the high minors. He's still growing into his power a bit, but he can hit well for average, has tremendous speed, and terrific on-base skills. Milledge is one of the top prospects in all of baseball, and should immediately step into a platoon with Endy Chavez in Right Field.
