Tyler Walker (RP), TB

News:: Walker was placed on the 15-day DL with a strained elbow.

Views:: Walker had 10 saves before the injury. This leaves the Devil Rays with no real closer and no real candidates at this time. For those looking to vulture saves, it's going to be the dreaded "closer by committee". With the lack of save opportunities for Tampa in general, this situation is no-win any way you look at it.

He was actually quite good in the closers role (3.8 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 10 saves...)

My team has so many DL guys its not even funny
willingham, walker, prior, harden, macdougal, clemens

fantasy-wise its not a big deal to put him on the DL... but as a rays fan, they dont have much to replace him with. he got saves, albeit really ugly ones... now we're about to some even uglier BS's.

and yes, drop him if theres a viable closer avail... although if you had walker on your team already, that probably means there isnt one

Don't make fun of people who aren't that great. I mean, if you can get to the major leagues, you're good enough. They make at least 300k which is pretty good.

What about Baez? Wasn't he Tampa's closer last year? Now he's sucking on the Dodgers.

2. Mark Prior
3. Clemens
4. Willingham
5. Tyler Walker
6. MacDougal

I thought my injury concerns would end when cantu and harden came off the DL and Prior and CLemens were looking strong. Not so much.

I hear that. With the return of Colon (finally), and the release of that scumbag Gagne, I would be 100% injury free. But then here comes Walker, and who knows what's going on with Ensberg. I can't get a break from the injury bug.
