Mark Prior (SP), ChC - Update
June 16, 2006
News: The Chicago Cubs are still uncertain as to where Mark Prior will make his next start on Sunday.
Views: The team has delayed its decision until Saturday. They want to make sure that he is over his soreness from this last minor-league start on Tuesday. He could start Sunday against Detroit, or be pushed back a day or two and have another start at Triple-A Iowa. A start on Sunday would give Carlos Zambrano and Greg Maddux an extra day of rest. That's the main advantage of having him pitch in Chicago on Sunday -- otherwise, a Triple-A start would be just fine. Prior, Kerry Wood and Wade Miller all threw in the bullpen on Friday.
