Eric Chavez (3b), OAK - Cold
June 24, 2006
News: Chavez' June continued to get even worse on Saturday, as he was 0-for-4 with a walk in Oakland's 8-7 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Chavez, who actually usually heats up in June is now 13-for-65 (.200) in June. The A's can live with it (he still has a .361 OBP), but he's killing fantasy owners.
Views: I still expect Chavy to come out of this funk, as he's a solid average hitter with great average hitting skill and terrific power for the position. However, the longer he struggles, the more nervous we get about him. He remains a great buy low option for the time being.
