News: Cruz joined the Rangers' organization in Friday's six-man deal that netted Carlos Lee.
Views: This could be a nice under-the-radar pickup for the Rangers' system. Cruz, 26, is old for a prospect, but he's clearly shown that he can hit for both average and power, and he has good speed as well. Cruz has hit .302/.378/.528 with 20 homers and 17 steals in AAA to this point, and should be expecting a cup of coffee in September from the Rangers. He could very well be a part of their starting outfield next season, particularly considering that Lee is a free agent at year's end.
