Chase Utley (2b), PHI

Fantasy Baseball Player News

Chase Utley (2b), PHI - Hot
July 30, 2006

News: Utley just keeps on ticking, as he was 4-for-9 with a homer and 2 RBI in the Phillies' doubleheader sweep of the Marlins. He extended his hitting streak beyond thirty games, and now stands at thirty-one.

Views: The longer this goes on, the more we're going to start hearing cheesy puns about Chase chasing Dimaggio.........

Talk about "zoned" in! This guy is on absolute fire right now. I know that is apparent, but he really is the only reason I tune into the Phils any longer. How about Chasing DiMaggio?

PHILADELPHIA SECOND BASEMAN CHASE UTLEY SINGLED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SIXTH INNING TO EXTEND HIS HITTING STREAK TO 32 GAMES.

He also got taken out. Idk why, well Florida is winning 9-1 and it's almost top 8th.

I would like to thank Chase for preventing me from watching all the way to the 9th inning to find out if he gets a hit.

For those not watching -- Utley had a swinging bunt. Flores came off the mound, faked a throw to third and took forever to wheel around to throw to first. Utley beat it out.

They had a hit listed, then a FC, and now it's a hit again.

That's a hit, but it should have been an out. Utley has Randy Flores to thank.

BTW this is the first time Utley has shown emotion in the entire process. He laughed when he beat out the throw. I think they should give it to him officially.

utley hustles to first probably more than 98 % of players in the game, but he was sure fast on that one.

Anyways, I have no comment.
