Rafael Furcal (SS), LA - Injury

News: Furcal left Thursday's Spring Training game in the first inning after spraining his ankle chasing a fly ball into the outfield. The injury is expected to keep him out longer than a week, but it looks likely that he'll be ready for Opening Day.
Views: Honestly, there's no timetable for his return at this point. Seeing as how it's a sprain, rather than a break, the assumption is that Furcal won't have to miss much more than a week. To paraphrase what he told the L.A. Times, he said he feels like there's an 80% chance he'll be ready to start the year. Be wary, though, this could affect his performance on the basepaths a bit.
