Nick Punto (3B), MIN - Injury

News: Twins third baseman Nick Punto will have an MRI exam Monday morning on his left ankle. “It sounds like it could be a trip on the DL,” Manager Ron Gardenhire said after Sunday’s game. With Jeff Cirillo already on the DL, recovering from knee surgery, Punto’s injury creates serious concerns about the team’s third base depth.
