News: Willy Taveras failed to get a hit again yesterday, giving him only 1 hit in his last 16 ABs. His batting average is now down to .135 and he has failed to live up to his sleeper potential.
Views: Many owners were excited about the prospects of Taveras playing in hitter friendly Coors Field, expecting him to be a good source of runs and SB, but thus far, he has been brutal. He won't hit anywhere near .300 but he should rebound and be a solid source of runs once the Colorado offense gets its act together. There isn't much more time for him to fail though, as the Rockies have plenty of outfielders who are longing to play.
