News: Jered Weaver made his first start of the season for the Angels Tuesday, pitching 6 innings in a losing effort. He finished with 4 hits and 2 walks against, allowing 4 runs to score (3 of which were earned). He also struck out 4 batters along the way.
Views: Weaver did a relatively good job of holding the A's bats at bay, but really struggled getting through the 4th inning. In the inning he walked 1, and gave up 3 hits, including a 3-run jack to A's shortstop Bobby Crosby. After an RBI single by Jason Kendall in the same inning, Weaver went on to retire the final 8 batters he faced.
