News: Greinke only lasted 2/3 of an inning against Detroit Monday night. He gave up 4 ER and threw 49 pitches before being pulled and took the loss.

Views:
Greinke has the stuff to be a great pitcher and showed that over his first two starts of the season. His record sits at 1-2, and he does have 13 K's in 13 2/3 innings. He's still a viable fantasy option in any league. However, if you find yourself "depending" on his stats for your rotation, you may be in trouble as his supporting cast won't allow him to be a top tier AL starting pitcher.

One little tidbit to add -- it was his first outing since the deaths of both his grandparents. They had died within a couple of hours of each other when they were traveling to see him pitch.

Yeah that certainly could play a role, along with his present psychological situation. Hopefully this does send him back into a state of depression.
