News: Claudio Vargas is making his presence known in Milwaukee, as he racked up 11 strikeouts Wednesday night on the way to his first win in the Brewers' 7-3 win over the Pirates.

Views: Vargas has totaled 20 K over his last two starts and is a very good play in NL-Only leagues, and could be used in a pinch in large mixed leagues. Wednesday, he allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over six innings. He should go up against Carlos Zambrano and the Cubs on Monday, so that may be another shot at a win for Vargas.
