News: Kip Wells' outing Thursday took a little shine off of his fast start, as he allowed five runs in the Cardinals' 6-2 loss to the Giants.
Views: Wells allowed four earned runs over six innings off of six hits and two walks. He did strike out four. Two runs he allowed in the fifth were aided by an error, but he walked two and allowed three hits in the four-run sixth. His ERA jumped from 2.16 from his first three starts to 3.12. He's still a good start next week at home against Cincinnati.
