News: After three great starts to begin the season, Kip Wells had by far his worst outing of the year Tuesday, as he allowed eight runs in the Cardinals' 10-3 loss to the Reds.
Views: Wells started the season with hard-luck 1-2 record and a 2.25 ERA. He started to show some chinks in the armor in his last start at San Francisco (four earned runs over six innings). But Tuesday, Wells blew up with nine hits and three walks over 4.2 IP. He allowed seven earned runs, and gave up three home runs on the night. I'd be wary starting him against the Cubs on Sunday.
