Joe Borowski (RP), CLE - Cold
April 25, 2007
News: Borowski was credited with his first blown save of the season Wednesday as he blew a 7-6 lead against the Texas Rangers. Though he's 8 for 9 in save opportunities this season, Borowski has allowed a run in consecutive appearances and this outing actually lowered his ERA to 9.90.
Views: You will, of course, recall the six runs he gave up in a loss to the Yankees just over a week ago, which wasn't technically a blown save because it wasn't a save opportunity (he had a four run lead). Borowski continues to look about as mediocre as he can while still holding onto his job. If this continues, look for Rafael Betancourt and Fernando Cabrera to stake their claim.
