News: In his major league debut, Philip Hughes went 4 1/3 innings allowing four runs on seven hits, while striking out five. Hughes is expected to get another start against the Rangers next week.

Views: Hughes struggled early mostly because of the ineffectiveness of his offspeed pitches. He showed that the potential is there, but he'll have to do a lot in his next start to warrant him a full-time spot in the rotation.
