Chan Ho Park (SP), NYM - Optioned to Minors
May 01, 2007

News: After allowing seven earned runs in just four innings during yesterday's loss to the Marlins, Chan Ho Park has been sent back down to AAA New Orleans.

Views: A short lived New York Mets career for Park. Jorge Sosa will likely be promoted to fill in for Orlando Hernandez (who could miss only one more start). Sosa is 4-0 with a 1.13 ERA in AAA.

thank god, that was a train wreck. Though it should be pointed out that those runs shouldnt have been scored, Easely muffed a catched, yes it was tough but if its IN your glove you have to catch it. Then Beltran should have called off reyes and made the catch, he was in much better position

Park has NOT been sent down to the minors, atleast not yet.

He was on the bench for todays game, adn is still penciled in for his next start. That could change but as of now he is still a NYM

Park was decent in relief in the WBC. Might the Mets try him out there before sending him down?

They should send Heilman down. He's been beyond dreadful.

Yeah, but he's still serviceable. Maybe the Mets should call a bullpen guy up and put Heilman as a starter.

On another note, Joe Smith has been amazing.
