Placido Polanco (2B), DET - Hot
May 03, 2007
News: Polanco hit .356 over April with 1 home run, 12 RBI, and 16 R. He's already 4/9 in May with 2 RBI and a run scored. He is currently hitting .363.
Views: Placido has done nothing but hit since he joined the Tigers in 2005. A better "real life" player then a fantasy star, Polanco at least benefits from playing in a position that isn't quite deep. He'll help any team's batting average and chip in some RBI and R. He doesn't steal often and probably won't as long as he's hitting in front of Sheffield and Ordonez. His Run and RBI pace puts him around 85 R and 70 RBI, and those are realistic enough numbers (albeit on the high end) if he stays healthy.
