Magglio Ordonez (OF) DET - Hot
May 24, 2007
News: Maggs went deep twice last night against the Angels. He now has 12 Home Runs and 42 RBI on the year. Add to that a .345 average, and you have one of the top outfielders in the game right now.
Views: Of course, some SB would be nice, but Ordonez is outperforming what many that he was capable of this year. It begs the question, do you sell hi, or hope for comparable performance throughout the year? Maggs always seems to come to the plate with men on base. Sheffield batting in front of Magglio has 26 walks, Placido Polanco is hitting .335, and Curtis Granderson is among league leaders in extra base hits. Add Carlos Guillen, who is hitting .322 as protection, and you have all the right pieces for continued success for Ordonez.
