GridIronPro: Fantasy Football Mock Draft Software

Installation Instructions
August 12, 2004

GridIronPro Logo

How to install the program:
1) Run the setup.exe file that you downloaded. An installation wizard will step you through the easy setup process and will install the program into your C:\Program Files\GridIronPro directory.
2) The program was written in Visual Basic, and there are a few Active X components that must be on your computer for the program to run. The installation attempts to copy these files to your computer if it can't find them. (Active X = *.ocx files)

How to run the program:

1) Double click on the GridIronPro desktop icon.
2) From the drop down menu... load a league configuration file (software comes with a default yahoo league setup file).
3) Load a player database
4) Next select the type of draft you want. Your options are:
* - Manually draft for all teams... in this type of draft you manually draft for all the teams.
* - Computer drafts for all teams... in this type of draft the computer will draft for all teams.
* - Draft vs Computer... in this type of draft you will select which team you want to draft for, and the computer will draft for all the remaining teams.
Note: The default is... Draft vs Computer
5) Next select the "Intelligence" level of the computer, if you aren't running a Manual draft. Your three options are... Dummy, Intermediate and Expert. Default is [Expert].
6) Next select the time interval, or the time each team is allowed to take to make it's pick. If you are conducting a Manual draft then you an ignore this option. The default is [5] seconds. When you are drafting vs the computer and it's your turn, the clock will not run. The clock only runs when the computer is picking.
7) Now you are ready to begin drafting... from the drop down menu select Tools->Start. The rest is pretty straight forward and with a little practice you will be an expert.
8) If you are drafting vs the computer, right click on one of the football men at the top of the form. The team you right click on, will be the team you will be drafting for.

How to use the Trade Analyzer

1) From the drop down menu select, File->Open League Configuration File
2) From the drop down menu select, File->Open Player Database
3) From the drop down menu select, Tools->Trade Analyzer
A new window should open up. Enter your complete roster before the trade on the left hand side, and your complete roster after the trade on the right hand side. If it's an uneven trade (ie - 3 for 2), you will need to make sure you adjust what your new lineup would be accordingly. Next, hit the button, and a message will show on the window telling you how many replacement level fantasy points your team would gain or lose by making this trade.

Function Key Definitions
F1 Key: Copies current standings to your clipboard.
F2 Key: Copies best remaining players and their value to clipboard (Advice List Box must be selected).
F3 Key: Copies roster of team selected to clipboard.
F4 Key: Copies draft history log to clipboard.
