Ty Law (CB), NYJ

Fantasy Football Player News

Ty Law (CB), NYJ - Injury
September 10, 2005

News: Ty Law says that he is all set to start in his first game on Sunday, since injuring his foot last season. Head coach Herm Edwards was asked how much time Law will be playing. Edwards stated that although he realizes he can take Law in and out of the game, he will allow him to play the whole game, as long as he continues to feel healthy.

Views: This is great news for Jets fans, who have sorely missed Law on defense. He should be healthy and ready to continue right where he left off.

I think they are a team that you now have to seriously throw in the mix. They improved the two places they had glaring holes in the playoffs. Secondary and Kicker. Also, that kicker is a lock. That Nugget guy consistently won game winners on a bigger stage than any regular season NFL game. If you asked me if I could attempt to kick a game winner in Ohio State with 100,000+ fans or the Meadowlands with 65,000, I dont think it's a tough choice. Great kicker and DB. If healthy, they can beat the Pats, Steelers, or the Colts any given Sunday.

their secondary sucks. signing ty law doesnt do much. their the only team that wanted to pay him because of his age and injury. I bet you cant even name 2 more starters in their secondary without looking it up. and now they can beat indy and the colts?
a bunch of bla bla bla about a washed up CB and a kicker.

You are just bitter. A good secondary is directly portional to the pressure the defense creates. BTW the Colts are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over rated.
[8] by Miami Dolphins on 09/10/2005 09:45 amreply
if you call being right bitter, I guess im bitter. but all you said...bla bla kicker...bla..100000 people..yep they'll beat the pats now. I didnt see you post anyone else in their secondary.

WITHOUT looking it up: their secondary consists of Barret and Law at CB, Celestin/Rhodes and Coleman as the Safties, and is Justin miller the nickel back?

Vilma will be a beast this year.

I have a deal for you Miami. If they Dolphins beat the Jets next week I will put up a Miami avatar. If the Jets win you put up a Jets one. Deal?
[11] by NYsportsMAN on 09/10/2005 10:46 amreply
if miami beats the spread, I'd do it...count me in on this gamble (but no spread)
[12] by NYsportsMAN on 09/10/2005 10:56 amreply

I think you messed up there. You do realize that the Dolphins are a lock to get points, meaning the Jets could still beat them by seven and you would lose. BTW, guys you do realize that interdivision games are very very dangerous? Not saying that the Dolphins are better, but the division rivalry provides a more competitive game for some reason.
[14] by EvilEmpire on 09/10/2005 11:14 amreply
I said nothing about points.
Straight up bet.

They are in the same division (AFC east). You kinda confused me there I think....

I may have picked them over the oclts to the SB, but I definitely have them over the pats.
and dolphins, I dont think I can name anybody on defense other than vilma, abraham and law, but I know they are a good defense. plus, pennington is accurate, martin and blaylock can run really well, and coles and mccareins and whoever else arent a bad WR core. if NYJ lose, ill give myself an I love the Dolphins avatar for THE REST OF THE NFL SEASON!!!

Yes I beleive the hardest games for teams to play are the INTRA divisional games. I think the Eagles get their best competiition again the NFC East.

also, Dolphins, if u want to accept the bet, how bout after that week of having a jets avatar you have brian dawkins as your avatar
[20] by EvilEmpire on 09/10/2005 11:26 amreply
ok. I'm with ya. It would be pretty funny if hald of FIC had a Dolphin avatar.
[21] by Miami Dolphins on 09/10/2005 07:10 pmreply
I didnt say anything about the jets beating the dolpins.
all I said was that just because the jets signed ty law and spent a 2nd rounder on a kicker doesnt mean their gonna beat the pats and colts as suggested by hessaun.
[22] by EvilEmpire on 09/10/2005 08:49 pmreply
No, you never did. Just a bet based on good natured trash talking.
