Week Fifteen Match-ups

QB – Plus Performers

B. Johnson (Rank – Ninth)

Detroit is surrendering 251 yards passing and 27 points a game and Johnson is primed to exploit this. He has thrown for over 250 yards four times out of the last five games, and has tossed 15 TDs and just one interception during that span.

J. Kitna (Rank – 15th)

Kitna has been on a tear lately, averaging 250 yards and 2 TDs a week since he became the starter. The Jaguar defense has been average against the pass, ranking 18th in the league in passing yards allowed. Plus, since their offense has been struggling, the defense has been staying on the field most of the game.

QB – Negative Performers

T. Green (Rank – 20th)

The Broncos give up only 209 yards and less than 1 TD per week, but of late, their glaring weakness is in the secondary. Green is decent enough to take advantage of this, but his receivers have been so inconsistent, he can't be counted on, especially at playoff time.

J. Harrington (Rank – 32nd)

Harrington is facing the Bucs' defense. That's plenty of reason. He may complete a deep pass or two late, but he will also get pressured more than he has all season, will be sacked often and will probably be intercepted a couple of times.

RB – Plus Performers

C. Martin (Rank – 7th)

The Bears are ranked 26th in rushing yards allowed per game (131 ypg). With Martin getting back to form, and Lamont Jordan questionable this week, Martin should have plenty of opportunities for a very good day.

C. Dillon (Rank – 9th)

For the same reasons Kitna should have a good game this week, so will Dillon. He will continue to benefit from the Bengal passing success. The Jaguar defense is nearly the worst in the league in rushing yards allowed and will be on the field most of the game.

RB – Negative Performers

S. Davis (Rank – 28th)

Under most situations, Davis makes a bad start against the great Eagle run defense. But with Spurrier's "Operation Davis Phase-Out" underway, it's even a worse situation. His fantasy value is about nil now.

J. Stewart (Rank – 31st)

Again, for the same reasons Harrington should have a bad game this week, so will Stewart. Tampa Bay has surrendered just 95 yards rushing, 12 ppg, and has allowed just one rushing TD in the last four weeks. The Lions will be behind early and will be throwing the ball, and turning the ball over, often.

L. Coles (Rank – Eighth)

Coles has emerged as the Jets' top WR of late, as he has posted at least 100 yards receiving in three of his past four games and has scored two TDs in the past three weeks. The weak Bears secondary will make for an easy target for Pennington and Coles.

A. Toomer (Rank – Ninth)

Toomer has scored four TDs in the past five games, despite facing double coverage. The Cowboys have allowed nine TDs receiving in their past four games and have a banged-up secondary.

C. Johnson (Rank – 13th)

It's a Bengal trifecta.

WR – Negative Performers

Ti. Brown (Rank – 39th)

Miami is ranked third in the league against the pass, and, as every team does, they will focus on Brown, who has had just one 100-yard receiving game and two TDs this year. Don't expect him to break out of this slump this week.
