Plus Play:

Kerry Collins, Oak -- Collins fits the roll of the perfect bye-week starter this week as the Raiders face Houston. The Texans have surrendered eight touchdowns through the air, so Collins and his rocket arm will exploit them vertically to WRs Jerry Porter and Ronald Curry.

Negative Play:

Michael Vick, Atl -- Vick hasn’t lived up to the hype (or flashy commercials) yet, and doesn't fit with the West Coast offense. Carolina is coming off a bye week, which means that its defense is finally healthy against Vick, and the Panthers have been planning for Vick for two weeks now. They should use the success Arizona had against Vick as a blueprint, which would be using five down linemen to force Vick to throw.

Plus Play:

Chris Brown, Ten -- Brown has proven the Titan brass to be brilliant with their move to jettison Eddie George and to anoint Brown the starting RB. He is on a pace for nearly 1,900 yards and a dozen TDs rushing this season. After an impressive performance against a talented Jaguar defense last week, he should succeed again against a Charger defense that is tied for 28th in points allowed on the ground.

Negative Play:

Edgerrin James, Ind -- While Jacksonville allowed 100+ yards last week to a healthy Chris Brown, James is listed as probable this week and gained just 44 yards rushing in his last meeting against the Jags. James will be forced outside to run, and while he may make up for this with some receiving yards, don't be surprised if he's held out of the end zone.
