Quarterbacks
Plus Play:
Jake Delhomme, Car -- Delhomme has thrown at least two touchdown passes in five straight games, none of which was against the league's worst defense. The New Orleans pass defense has allowed 264 ypg, Nick Goings has proved the last two weeks that he needs to be accounted for, which will make it even easier for Delhomme to get the ball downfield to Muhsin Muhammad and Keary Colbert.
Kerry Collins, Oak -- Collins continues to throw interceptions, but he has averaged 282 passing yards over his past five games. He faces the Chiefs’ pass defense this week at home, and they are ranked 30th in pass defense, allowing 254 passing yards a game, along with giving up 20 passing touchdowns this year -- making this a near certainty Collins will have at least two scores. The only negative with this match-up is Trent Green might be out, which might slow down the potential for a shootout.

Negative Play:
David Carr, Hou -- Carr hasn’t been tearing it up in recent weeks. Carr threw for over 225 yards per game in each of the first 8 weeks of the season, but he hasn't hit that mark the last three weeks. On top of that, the Jets defense has been spectacular over the last few weeks, having surrendered just 10 points in their last two games, and only 194 ypg this season.
Carson Palmer, Cin -- Palmer has a solid half-season performance (for him) last week, but that should be the only fun he gets from here on out, as the Bengals face the Ravens, Patriots, Bills, Giants and the Eagles the rest of the way. The Ravens average one TD allowed through the air every TWO games.

Plus Play:
Nick Goings, CAR -- One would have thought that Goings would have peaked out by now, but he has risen to become a decent fantasy RB due to his play the past two games. Over the last four weeks, he has averaged 14 carries for 70 yards and three receptions for 31 receiving yards and one total TD per game. New Orleans not only has the worst pass defense, the have the worst run defense (151 ypg).
Julius Jones, Dal -- While the Seahawks rank 12th in total run defense, they haven't faced a team ranked in the top 11 in rushing offense all season. In fact, they have faced only one team in the top 18. Jones will probably approach 30 carries once again to keep the emphasis off of the Cowboys’ rocky QB situation.
Negative Play:
Fred Taylor, Jac -- Taylor’s string of 100+ yard games will come to an end against the Steelers. They are only allowing 75 yards per game on the ground. The Steelers defensive line held Clinton Portis to only 16 yards.
Rudi Johnson, Cin -- Johnson has averaged 115 rushing yards a TD per game in the last four weeks, but those numbers were healthily padded against the Browns last week. The Ravens have allowed three rushing TDs and an average of 127 rushing yards in the past four weeks.

Negative Play:
Chad Johnson, Cin -- The Bengals only posted nine points in week 3 and won't perform any better despite last week's track meet against the Browns. The Ravens have the fifth-ranked pass defense in the league (192 ypg).
