| Playoffs Question |

Just setting up my league right now and I have a question about the playoff format I should go with.
THis year we have 8 managers in the league. I would prefer to have the playoffs in weeks 14, 15 and 16. That said, I dont know if I should allow all 8 teams make the playoffs or just 6. The plus side with 6 is, there is a fight to make the playoffs whereas with 8 there isnt. The downside is, 6 isnt an even number of playoff matchups each week and 2 teams would receive a "bye" week in the first week of the playoffs.
I ask my league members and its a mixed review. All of them said it it entirely up to me, but I am at a crossroads. What would you guys do here? Thanks

I am very high on Pierre Thomas this year now that Bell is gone. That said, I tried to trade for him from another owner who loved him as well. I made the following trade to him and it was just accepted. However, now I am having second thoughts. what do u guys think? thanks
I gave- Reggie Wayne, LeSean McCoy, CJ Spiller and Ben Tate
I got- Shonn Greene, Pierre Thomas, Michael Bush and Kellen Winslow
Winslow I would drop for a defense since I dont have one yet. This trade makes my running backs stacked, but I am just unsure if I gave too much.
8 team yahoo redraft. qb, 2rb, 2wr, 2 w/r, te. 6 points for all tds. 10 yards per point rushing and rec. 25 per point passing

A guy in my league missed the draft and stated he needs a stud wr. I am thinking of offering him the following:
I give: Reggie Wayne, CJ Spiller and Ben Tate
I get: Jones Drew, Dallas D(throw in) and Ryan Lindell (kicker throw in)
My question isnt whether u think hell accept it, but if it goes through, will it pass veto? In addition, is it a fair enough trade in the eyes of a league? Thanks!
