Pigskin and Hogwash: Thanks? For what?
Decades ago, when Columbus and the pilgrims found America, the indigenous people brought them corn. The pilgrims said, Thanks. Now,... |

I'm still giving thanks to that guy for dropping Chris Brown and letting me snap him up right after the draft. I will be banishing Steve McNair and his always injured a$$. Being injured all the time and performing well used to be his whole schtick. Now he's just injured all the time. |

I'll give a big thanks to the other people in my league for letting me pick up Blaylock in time for his 186 yd game and Julius Jones in time for his 150 yd game. Oh yeah, and Thomas Jones- you're banished for your injury-riddled and inconsistent season, and Vanderjadt is banished for being on the same team as God. I mean Peyton Manning. |

Vanderjadt should still be a good fantasy kicker... 6 pats in a game is a decent scoring fantasy day... besides... you shouldnt be relying on a kicker. |

He gets alot of PAT but, his value as a fantasy kicker has gone down greatly. He only has 8 FG, last year he had a total of 37! |

Must have been someone who picked a kicker within his first 15 picks! |

I was one of those people who listened to all the "experts" and stuck with WR's and RB's with, at least, my first 3 picks, but now I've been forced to re-think that strategy. Manning is putting up the numbers of 2 RB's or 3 WR's combined! Will he do this year after year? Who knows, but one strategy I have NOT waivered from and NEVER will is picking my kicker last. I LOVED to laugh at those people who jumped on Vaderjagt and Wilkins in the 6th and 7th rounds and I'm still laughing.....I picked up Shayne Graham 2 weeks ago and he got me 18 points yesterday.....JACKPOT!!!!!
Now please explain to me why people will pick Vinatieri in those same rounds next year? Well....it won't be me....and once again I'll be laughing! |

people get their starters and they think they are set. so they start getting their starting defense and kickers. but backup rbs and wrs are as important if not more than defense and kicker, so when people were getting vanderjagt and wilkins... chris brown, thomas jones, and antonio gates were being picked right after. |

The best reason to take a kicker before the sixteenth round is if you only have fifteen rounds. |
