Tigers manager Jim Leyland announced Friday morning that both of the fireballing rookie right-handers have made the Opening Day club: Verlander as the fifth starter and Zumaya as an important reliever.

I'll be darned. That makes sense. The Detroit Free-Press has that article listed on the "Sports" section of their webpage, but not on the "Tigers" section of their webpage. The latest info that they have had information regarding the fact that they both probably cemented their roster spots last night in the "Tigers" section. Oh well. |

As far as I have been able to read... expect Bonderman-like numbers but with more upside during upcoming seasons. I don't know if I'm being optimistic or that I want him to perfom him like that at a better pace... |
