I would be very surprised if he went to KC as a backup to Grudz if he has a shot at signing with St Louis and competing for the starting gig.

I predict the Sox will trade him to the Cards for Pujols, since the Sox need a first baseman.

Don't forget the green font. Someone here might actually think you're serious

Looks like our KC fan friend was correct. From Rotoworld:

Quote:
Royals claimed infielder Tony Graffanino off waivers from the Red Sox.
So much for Esteban German as our big AL-only sleeper. Graffanino will get nearly all of the at-bats that don't go to Royals' regular infielders. He should start in place of Doug Mientkiewicz or Mark Teahen against left-handers and get in a game per week at second base in place of the injury-prone Mark Grudzielanek. He'll have a little value in fantasy leagues

I guess the Royals really thought the Cards or someone else were going to jump all over T Graff. If they waited a couple of days, they could've perhaps gotten him for the league minimum.

They can always trade him again, can't they?

I would guess that's their plan, though they will most likely have to hold onto him until June/July.
