News: Texas manager Buck Showalter said Cordero will receive "a break from closing."
Views: Akinori Otsuka will probably be the temporary closer but Cordero will probably reclaim the role at some point in the future. That makes Cordero a great buy low target but you might even be able to find him on the WW soon.
Does anyone know what Cordero's contract is like? It seems that the guys with closer contracts are usually given a longer leash. Even though Showalter said a 'break' I don't like the sound of it (actually, I didn't care at all until an hour ago when I completed a Sexson + Cordero for Smoltz + Ryan trade with a guy in my league.). Now I can't decide whether to keep Cordero and hope he gets it back, or drop him for someone else I've been wanting to pick up.
