News: Pittsburgh's Ian Snell did not allow an earned run in seven innings Friday night to earn his first victory of the season in the Pirates' 3-1 win over Philadelphia.
Views: Mr. Snell must have decided to join us this season. Snell entered with game with an 0-2 record, a 7.71 ERA and a 1.91 WHIP. He allowed one unearned on five hits and a walk as 68 of his 101 pitches were for strikes. Snell also struck out seven on the evening.
I watched the game and he was dealing. Perhaps he wanted to show his hometown how good he is (Dover, Delaware gets comcast sports net, which was televising the phillies game)
