News: Mesa was suspended for four games after throwing at Omar Vizquel's head last Saturday in Denver.
Views: The feud between the two is well-documented, but it seems to me that MLB is being a little too lenient with Mesa. If you said five years ago that you're going to throw at a player every time you face him for the rest of your career and continuously follow up with it, four games isn't nearly a harsh enough penalty. I'm sure we can look forward to seeing Mesa beaning Vizquel the next time the Rockies and Giants square off as well, as it's not costing Mesa too much time or money. |
