Baseball Player News: Xavier Nady (OF), NYM

News: Nady was placed on the disabled list Tuesday after undergoing an appendectomy.
Views: Nady has played well in his first serious shot at a starting role in New York, batting .267/.331/.484 in 45 games this season. Top prospect Lastings Milledge was called up in his place. If Milledge continues to perform at the big league level like he has in AAA, the starting job may be difficult to wrest away from him when Nady returns. |
