News: Castillo homered for the fourth straight game on Tuesday, and this time he did it twice. Castillo had a monster game, finishing 4-for-4 with a double, a single, two dingers, and six RBI. He also crossed the plate thrice for good measure as he led the Pirates to a 12-1 victory over Milwaukee.
Views: The Pirates do have a little more than just Jason Bay in that offense. In fact, Castillo has tremendous upside. Back in 2002 in high A ball, he blasted 25 dingers, though his power progression was absent for a couple of years while he dealt with injuries on and off. In his first extended look with the big club in 2005, Castillo hit 11 in just 370 ABs, so the power has always been there. He's not likely to keep that average anywhere near the .307 it's at now, but he's more than capable of hitting .270 with 20+ homers.
