News: Reyes looked strong again in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Houston Astros, but got little support out of Josh Hancock when he left the game in the seventh. Reyes allowed three runs on just five hits and a walk in 6.1 innings of work. He fanned seven, but didn't figure in the decision.
Views: Reyes was fantastic, actually, as Hancock allowed a pair of inherited runners to score by promptly entering the game and allowing an RBI single and a two-run homer. Fatigue certainly looked like it was starting to set in, and the Cardinals are going to use the kid gloves with Reyes, as he's never stayed healthy for a full professional season. Unfortunately, they turned to Hancock, who has the worst strand rate on the team.... Hancock has now allowed eight of seventeen inherited runners to score.
