Baseball Player News: Matt Clement (SP), BOS

News: The Boston Red Sox placed Matt Clement on the 15-day DL Friday with a right shoulder strain.
Views: No big loss as he's pitched horribly this season (5-5, 6.61 ERA), other than fact that Boston doesn't have a strong replacement for him. Jon Lester will probably stay in the rotation. The Red Sox replaced Clement on the roster with OF Game Kapler, which isn't a very strong upgrade for the bench, either. |

I'm not to bummed about this, Clement is painful to watch. I'd rather watch someone new up there anyday than this guy. I was supposed to see him start against the Nats on Monday, hopefull to see a new young gun. |
