News: Angel Guzman allowed one run over 5.1 IP in relief of the hideous Glendon Rusch Friday in the Cubs' 5-3 to Detroit.
Views: The contract extension of Glendon Rusch has to be Jim Hendry's worst move as GM. Guzman allowed three hits and three walks while striking out a career-high eight batters. Mark Prior will (thankfully) take over Rusch's spot in the rotation (at least, until ... well, YOU KNOW), so Guzman will remain in the pen. But it's a good sign of life from the youngster.
