Baseball Player News: Justin Morneau (1b), MIN

News: Morneau was 3-for-5 with his second homer of the series against the White Sox as the Twins moved into a tie for the Wild Card lead with a 7-4 win in Chicago Wednesday.
Views: Morneau continues to absolutely crush the ball, and is now batting .375 with 17 homers and 48 RBI since June 1. Over the past two months, he's been our top-rated first baseman, and he's climbed all the way to sixth overall in our first base rankings.
While everyone points to Francisco Liriano as the sole reason for the Twins taking off, Morneau's emergence has been the real key. He now finds himself just three homers short of becoming the first Twin to hit thirty dingers since the late-eighties, and he's raised his average to .313! |
