Baseball Player News: Vladimir Guerrero (OF), LAA

News: Guerrero left Saturday's game with the Boston Red Sox in the fifth inning, supposedly citing fatigue. Guerrero was replaced in the lineup by Curtis Pride.
Views: Vladdy was in the lineup as the DH today, so he couldn't have worn himself out in the field. The Angels had an off-day on Thursday, but he's been in the lineup in all but two games for them this season, so I could see the grind starting to wear him down a bit. Regardless, it's an odd reason for your team's best hitter to be taking himself out of the lineup with at this point in the season. We'll have to see if it turns out to be something more. |
